I have 11 years of teaching experience, all at DZE. I have lived in Fort Worth since 2020.
Some of my favorite activities are playing music, building and playing table top miniatures, and dancing cumbia tejana.

My name is Maria Lay. I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2004 with Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas in Arlington.
I have 20 years of teaching experience. I have lived in Fort Worth since 1981.
Some of my favorite activities are spending time with my family, traveling, and watching anything about pandas!

My name is Jazmin Gutierrez. I will be graduating from Tarleton State University in December 2025 with my bachelor's in education EC-6. I have lived in Fort Worth since 2001. Some of my favorite activities are hiking, traveling, and painting and a fun fact is that I was a student here at De Zavala from 2nd-5th grade!
